Who We Are
THE CONSULTING EDITORS ALLIANCE is a group of highly skilled independent book editors, each with a minimum of 15 years' New York publishing experience. We offer a broad range of services, in both fiction and nonfiction areas. These services include development of book proposals, in-depth evaluation of manuscripts; project development; line editing and rewriting; "book doctoring"; and collaboration and ghost writing. We work with writers both published and unpublished, literary agents, packagers and editors at major publishers and at small presses across the country. Read what Publisher's Weekly, the Bible of the book publishing industry, had to say about CEA. Because of the diverse experience of our editors, we are able to provide services in many areas. Our fiction specialties include both literary fiction and commercial fiction, thrillers, mysteries, romances, women's novels, historical novels, adventure, science fiction/fantasy/horror, and inspirational novels.
In nonfiction, our specialties include self-help, biographies and autobiographies, cooking, history, architecture, psychology/sociology, spirituality/religion, business, current affairs, and science and technology.
